I thought that power consumption would be lower with those LED projectors. Still, I like them. Looking forward to updates.

I found the user's manual : http://www.google.fr/url?sa=t&source=we ... GQ&cad=rja" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The XJ-M250 meets my needs in terms of throw ratio and offset, it's the only one I know except for the super pricey (and ghosty) LCOS 3D projectors).

But the 3D feature seems to be a gimmick : 3D projection is impossible using the HDMI input and color adjustments are deactivated in 3D mode as well as the eco mode.

How so? Who said this doesn't support HDMI 1.4a?

It's written on the user's manual :
"You cannot select HDMI or USB as the input source in the 3D input mode. To use either of these input sources, change the input source setting back to normal input mode"

They must handle 120hz properly or this won't be a gamer projector ever

yes I see. Great.... That firmware is hopeflly not serious. Asked on twitter so far.
@Casio_Projector Hello,we are looking at the pre-release manual of the Casio 3D projectors, that firmware is serious? Way to mistreat 120hz..

Apparently, VGA input is okay, in H5360 , its sampled at 10bit per color, same as hdmi.
Morever,
Service menu should give us access to color generation / eco !!!

I just tried H5360 service menu, R G B can be adressed seperately, and ECO too.

But casio won't give away the combination, so I tweeted this:
"I called casio to have access to service menu but, obviously they don't give it to customers" disappointed!Waiting for Acer K330 #3D #CASIO
guys at repair center would tell it for a beer or two I think

Great, I guess I just made my DVI V-sync extractor for nothing if I buy this PJ.
About the glasses, are they DLP-link ? If yes, can we disable the white sync flash on the menu ?

You know, it seems like Vivitek Qumi is the same song: no 3D thru hdmi, no color settings ,ppl can't correct for some stuff they want.

But Qumi mentions IR , also 120hz should work just fine over VGA without the flash.

Acer K330 and Optoma ML500 will be the same projectors, made by Coretronic Taiwan. Maybe they allow better configuration than CASIO or Vivitek, So I m looking at those now, but would get a CASIO too if we can figure this out.

Also the new LEDs will have different LED chipset than Qumi, cause the rainbow talk confirms its a hold projector with motion blur. Its not possible to do over 300 lumen with the same chipset, or the 500 is marketing number. These guys have different engineering "numbers" , and marketing "numbers". : D

This time its even forgivable cause LED colors are so saturated it looks 20% percent brighter at least.
