Will This work?

Post by BasementScientist »

I'm currently running a Viewsonic M50 CRT monitor. For 3D, i'm using a pair of wired e-dimensional glasses hooked up to a dongle purchased from http://www.ultimate3DHeaven.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. I'm running the iz3d driver in interleaved mode.

I noticed the dongle has a 3-pin din connector. I was wondering if I could purchase the following products, and use them with the monitor/dongle combination.

Ultra-Clear adult Samsung glasses:

3D IR Transmitter for Mitsubishi & Samsung 3D Glasses:

My goal is to use glasses with more light transmission than the e-dimensionals.

I'm not sure you'll have that much more light transmission with the Ultra-Clear than the eDimensional. The viewing angle should still be better though, so you can still test these glasses since they should be better in that regard. If your problem is more with the ghosting (mainly green I guess), you could try to augment the vertical back porch as has been done successfully with CRT projectors (with the Sony G90 for example). I guess you should still be able to only augment the brightness if your problem is really related to light transmission.
