Anyone can help me with my issues of not being able to have fullscreen with movies?

Make sure you have the overscan settings set correct (you may have to do this for both 1080P and 720P):

You can try checking the box on the bottom about "use the scaling values instead...".

Think about getting a new HDMI cable (high-speed HDMI 1.4) and/or using a different port on the video card. You can try using a DVI to HDMI adapter.

Having Ubuntu and Nvidia video card + HDMI 1.4 display (a DLP 3D projector enabled via VIP Gamer):
is there a way to see 3D from Linux?

Registered mainly to say I just ordered this thanks to your review - despite all the trashing I am mighty excited and am looking foward to when it arrives - I have an 'old' Sammy 2233RZ which I reckon is great - time though to get a bigger 1 . ...and, I will now have 2 pair of Nvision glasses, so my wife can get a look @my crazy 3D gaming
