Hello Guys,

It is an lucky day for Stereo 3D... A least for me.

Installed today the 174.74 beta for Vista 64bit and tryed to install the 174.76 Stereo driver from nvidia.

It was just a try but wtf... It works!!

I only have Anaglyph because its zalman driver but:
No Crashes
No ugly black artifacts
No registry tweaking

No i will buy a pair of Anaglyph glasses^^

Cause I have no real anaglyph glasses the settings for Screenshots may not be optimal.
Most of the new games will need detail tweaks for performance.

System Config:
Vista Ultimate 64Bit Sp1
Gforce 8800gtx
Asus P5bDeluxe
Intel Core 2 duo E6700 (2x2.7ghz)

Tested:
Medical Test image -ok

Stereo Test Application -ok

World of Warcraft -ok, look here: http://www.mtbs3d.com/gallery/displayim ... m=21&pos=0

Assasins Creed - DX10: not ok, the ground is invisible,

Assasins Creed - DX9: ok, look here http://mtbs3d.com/gallery/displayimage. ... m=26&pos=0

Oblivion -ok, with hdr, look here: http://www.mtbs3d.com/gallery/displayim ... um=4&pos=0 http://www.mtbs3d.com/gallery/displayim ... um=4&pos=1 http://www.mtbs3d.com/gallery/displayim ... um=4&pos=2

Battlefield 2 -ok, look here: http://mtbs3d.com/gallery/displayimage. ... um=1&pos=0

Medival 2: Total War -ok, look here: http://www.mtbs3d.com/gallery/displayim ... um=3&pos=0

Hi.

I also tested that combination with Vista 64 and it works.
In anaglyph mode only (argh!), of course, because those Zalman monitors simply can't be found in the country where I live.
Does anyboby know if NVIDIA intends to provide the page flipping mode?

Anyone have a preference between the iZ3D drivers and the nVidia drivers for Vista 64? Are they equivalent?

No its Zalman/anaglyph only... only the Forcware for 64bit is new to support the Stereo Driver in 64bit

Since last Satureday I own an Zalman 3D Screen.

It ist working very well ounder vista 64bit, with the Actual Drivers (Forcware 64bit 175.16).

Only problems are native 64bit Applications (Crysis) It have to be run in 32bit mode (found in bin32 Folder), but then works sam as Vista 32bit.

I Currently Startet to play Oblivion again, It is very nice to play with nearly "Real" Dimmension (A Cube looks like an cube in all three dimmensions)

The most other games are also working well (WoW, CoD4, UT2004 [rocks], FEAR)

What currently not Runs are the UT3 Games : In UT3 itself and Turok I'm not abel to activate the 3D-effect, may there is some postprocessinc blocking it, have to look in the .ini files.

Also very nice is the 3D player that ships with the Monitor, 3D movies at home, a dream since I was the first time in an IMAX 3D film ^^

Good to hear there is 64-bit support. I didn't know that. I'm running Vista 32-bit, but I'd like to run 64-bit if developers would just get with it and start making stuff 64-bit.

I'm going to get a Zalman soon, the 3d movie capabilities were definitely a selling point. Including their own (branded) 3d player is a very nice touch.

Assasin Creed stereo3d doens´t work (dx9 or dx10) here, using Windows Vista 32bits (and a zalman monitor, but maybe the same using anaglyph glasses)... it is strange that stereo3d for this game works for you with 64bits. Also this game is not present in the nvidia stereo3d games info in the driver.

I add some games:

Bf2: Not working (can't set resulution to 1680x1050)

Medieval 2: Working, look at your batteling Troops, Greate!!

Audiosurf: Working (with an litle black stripe in the middle, dont know where it comes from)

Black and White 2: Working, God is Three-Dimensional^^ (but only with disabeld "deformation" "Verzerrung" in german )

I uploded a pack with Screenshot of Medieval, Audiosurf and B&W2:

I also got some test sets from the Open-Source Grafics enging OGRE-3D, the should rename it to Ogre-S3D. It's awnsome^^

In assasins creed I had to disabel something, think the shadows, but I'm not sure...

Sorry I can not reproduce it... may it was an bug fixing an bug (just like microsoft office :P )

So now I got BF2142 to "work" in 3D but not realy in general. (look here: http://www.mtbs3d.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=1565 )

BF2 is working when I deactivate the Scaling from the monitor (so that i use 19" of my 22")[/url]

Finaly it Arrived:

Forceware 64bit with 3DStereo support, look out for release 175.19 for 64bits

Now I jump into testing if crysis will work in 64bit ;)

Edith says:

Crysis 64bit doesn't get 3d, but 32bis "runs" (diashows^^) with dx10 and everything on "Very High"

Is it only me, or do these new drivers make at least as much problems as the ones before?

I'm keeping all eyes open to find the best product in long term usability and compatibility and... and price...

But from what I see here NV drivers are not among them :-(

Well the drivers work. I mean it works about as good as its always "worked". Which isn't necessarily saying much.

Yeah right, but I thought the new Vista drivers, which were about 1 Year in development AND get money by Zalman should be better than the previous drivers... but aparently the compatibility have not increased as fast as any other driver (vizuix or Iz3D or other mysterious anouncements)...
