Re: Photoshop Challenge
Holy crap, Boll, that's some extremely high-quality imagery right there. I'm going to have to make another really dodgy oculus pic to make everyone else feel better about their programmer art!

Re: Photoshop Challenge
Well, if you're going to play using only sound from your headphones, you're going to want low-latency head-tracking to go with it, so you can easily locate where sounds are coming from. And to play standing up with absolute one-to-one mapping between real world orientation and game orientation, so you don't get turned around like you could by turning with the mouse. So I'm not surprised blind people like the Rift, even if they can't use it's main feature.Dycus wrote:Stevie Wonder can't get enough of the Rift!

Re: Photoshop Challenge
Boll, something like that would make a great fold-out ad in a magazine. Makes me want a Rift even more! Good job!
Dycus, are you saying even Stevie Wonder could benefit from the immersion of the Rift, or are you implying there should be a Stevie Wonder simulator for the Rift? Because if it's the latter, I suppose this will be sufficient (and cheaper):

I noticed something was missing from Boll's pic, and it was just too tempting to leave it alone, I couldn't help myself. (have already confirmed with Boll that I can share it here)

Haha, totally blaming that I made my version around two in the morning, not when my mind works the best also there wouldn't be a remix without an original (also a remix, I know) so thereTheHolyChicken wrote:Sorry, Boll, but the Back to the Future 2.0 pic is far better than yours You missed a trick there!

The number one most requested feature from parents or carers, was the ability to unplug their loved ones from the rift, when they refuse to return to reality, So we invented the kill switch!

Re: Photoshop Challenge
Wow! It's the famous artist Boll! I'm a huge fan of your work!
I have some ideas for follow-up captions, but I'm too lazy to photoshop them:
Title: Disappointing results from Oculus Rift Beta testers
Top right: "Hang on, the accelerometers seem to be completely non-functional, I'm not getting any head tracking."
Bottom left: "Hang on, the magnetometers in this thing don't seem to be working, and the accelerometers aren't working right. I'm not getting any head tracking. The Earth's magnetic field doesn't seem to be reaching it..."
Bottom right: "Hang on, the accelerometers can't make up their mind which way is down, and they are maxed out."
