Do you think the CNET article was a misunderstanding, or does NVIDIA think they can reprogram the world?

Post your thoughts HERE!

Well up until Nvidia stopped developing their general drivers, isn't that essentially what they had done? I can't think of more than a handful of games that didn't work with the drivers at the time. That doesn't mean things like the HUD and depth always worked well, but they did work to a degree. Of course since then they may as well have died for a couple years and now games are overflowing the post-processing craze that they still have trouble with. Maybe the difficulties they face now are the reason they stopped developing in the first place. I haven't seen what the new Vista drivers are capable of however, so I can only speculate.

Nvidia knows, they can't reprogram the world, but the wold doesn't know...

So if they make comercials it's only helping us 3D gamers. Just think of all that people wo don't even KNOW S-3D existed...

At least they posted a 3D picture, so you can see, it's not the normal 2,4D displayed at a 2D screen...

I was right! :P

NVIDIA got in touch with me, and there was a misunderstanding about the driver and that it is indeed important for game developers to work with S-3D driver developers. Phew! 8)

I'll see if I can dig anything more up - no promises.

When you could move the company which made the mistake to correct it and maybe post one more article to make up for their mistake, it would help to spread the WORD. (Two articles instead of one  )

One more thing, CNEWS seems to think that NVIDIA is going to offer 3D-glasses and they will work on EVERY montior out there... but the only solution that can be viewed on every monitor is red/blue anaglyph, and I really doubt NVIDIA would bother with retailing $5 anaglyph glasses. NVIDIA could probably make their partners to include anaglyph glasses in the box as a kind of cheap evaluation kit, so to introduce the customers to 3D-stereo and to promote specialized solutions such as Zalman ZM M220W and M190...
