Anyone have luck using stereoscopic 3D drivers with the Crysis 2 to deliver a dual camera render? How was it?
Regards, Neil

I like native 3d in CRYSIS 2, also previos two games it's absolutely best graphics & gameplay experience for me (dx10 in 2007 & dx 11 in crysis 2), just blow my mind! In 3d it's just head off!=) So I hope crytek still make ultimate graphics + 3d support=)

It lacks the ability to view objects close up, "feel" the foliage while sneaking around etc. In other words almost everything that's enjoyable with 3d. If Crytek wants to support 3d in a proper way they should include options to choose between 2d+depth and real dual-view rendering.

I bought Crysis 2 on the steam sale the other day. Had heard the stereo was dodgy but wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt. At first I thought I might be able to live with it, but after 10 minutes, and experiments with config changes to increase and decrease the s3d effect, I really hate it. It looks like garbage. At low depth it's pointless, at high depth the weird, glassy ghosting and messed up layers look terrible.
I rate s3d according to how much it increased my enjoyment of a game. I think a good s3d game is doubly enjoyable due to the stereo. A mediocre s3d game might be 50% more fun. But Crysis 2 stereo is into the negatives. There's no way I can tolerate this game in stereo. If I do play it, it'll have to be in mono.
Won't be touching Crysis 3 if they do the same thing again.
