Datura - new PS3 move game

Post by android78 »

I just came across this and think it sounds fascinating. Especially since they mention using the HMZ for it:

That would be an amazing game with the HMZ and PS MOVE controllers!

nice.

He mentions that he used a move controller attached to the Sony HMD, but doesn't get into specifics. I assume for head tracking. Does that mean that you use one controller for direction and one for the "hand"? Curious.

Just think how much better this would translate to the Kinect. Hopefully the resolution of the Kinect 2 and the ability to track finger motions will motivate developers to develop more along these lines.

I think a hi res kinect for body tracking and move like head tracking is what's needed. Add stereoscopic support and were almost there.

I bet with the assistance of a few LED's (a-la FreeTrack) the Kinect 2 could do a pretty good job of head tracking. So maybe you could remove one piece of hardware.
