Post your thoughts on this game. How is it on old school setups? Has anyone been able to get it to run with current NVIDIA drivers? How is the gun for you? Were you able to play the game despite this anomaly?
Regards,
Neil

I liked the gameplay, the graphics and the performance quite a lot. Unfortunatly I wasn't able to run this game in S-3D on the old Nvidia driver (like 94.47). It was just Flat from postprocessing like UT3, Gears of War and other games based on UT3 engine...
Besides from that I liked, that you had to try different routes and that the AI was relativly intelligent. You have some choice with ordering your squad.
Regarding the anomaly: I played STALKER on the driver and had always a split weapon. I don't mind much, except one of them is displayed in the way, so I can't see the crosshair (lasersight) in 3D any more.

Nice review, specifically with the 3d portion of it! Can you post what convergence and separation you were playing it at for the review? I'm about 1/3 of the way through the game and 3d does look good, though I get some strange dark colorings in certain areas of the screen with 7900GS.
Thanks.

NVIDIA: Horrible/nearly-non-existent.
iZ3D: On my old GeForce 7900GS (256mb) the graphics were horrible, there was black blank-textures everywhere when you entered a large area, and the FPS would dip-crazy. That's not a fault of the iZ3D driver, but the optimization of the game (or lack thereof).
I have not tried Vegas 1 on my new GeForce GTX 260 (896mb) though I imagine it would run on the iZ3D drivers with no sweat. My GTX already ran Crysis on "Very High" (the maximum setting) with virtually no dip in FPS except for the level Assault, in which my FPS actually went below 35 in Stereo 3D.
