Yeah, I've been thinking about stuff like that for a while now. Seems like it can work nice for static pre-fab objects, but having animated characters done like that would be really difficult. Not to mention what this would cost in terms of memory (both of the game install and RAM). But its probably a good direction to be moving towards.
