Dual-Link DVI is what is used for 1080P 3D gaming on the PC (and only on Nvidia at the moment). HDMI 1.4 can also be used, but at 24Hz. DP is not yet used for 3D AFAIK.

Regarding HDMI 1.4 at 24Hz..... Are you saying that current 1080p 3D plasmas, like my Samsung PN50C680 could actually play PC games in 1080p 3D at 24 frames a second? How does the video card lock itself to 24 frames and not go beyond 24 frames? Is this something that somebody is actually doing? I mean, I know it's theoretically possible, but are there displays that have actually been confirmed to work in that mode? I would think that if you tried to do it, the 3DTV would basically see it as an incompatible signal, and it just wouldn't work. Unless iZ3D or 3D Vision somehow has a special feature that allows you to lock the video card at 24 frames.
All of it is pretty much a moot discussion anyways, since 24 frames per second would be pretty horrible.

I have this TV and it's fine @24 frames @1080p. No issues at all. Check out the 3d blog as there is a report of many games palyed at 24 frames and most were playable. http://3dvision-blog.com/?s=24+frames" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I initially thought that 24Hz was garbage, but it is actually somewhat playable. Obviously 60Hz is going to feel way smoother, but 24Hz is a bare-minimum where you can actually play. Especially in games like Crysis or Metro 2033 where you might only be getting 24fps anyway. Practically you will want to run at 60Hz, even if this means needing to play at 720P.

Some TVs like the Series 7 Samsung Plasma (PS50C7790 specifically) also support 1080p at 30Hz per eye in 3D, that should be a little better than 24Hz.
Nobsi tested this (30Hz per eye) but was not really convinced, he said it was quite unplayable with fast games and he prefered 1080p checkerboard :

My dual projector system is also 1080p, at the full 60Hz per eye : it uses two single-link DVI outs converted to Hdmi with passive converters.
Passive 3D forever !
DIY polarised dual-projector setup :
2x Epson EH-TW3500 (2D 1080p)
Xtrem Screen Daylight 2.0, for polarized 3D
3D Vision gaming with signal converter : VNS Geobox 501

Ah yes, I forgot about dual projection systems. The Infitec/Dolby 3D system from jackbauer could also be a good solution for 1080p at 60Hz per eye if he could find a solution for color correction for games.

FSX is playable at 24 frames but can't personally vouch for any others.
