Nvidia to purchase Ageia physics engine/software

Post by chrisdfw »

This could be interesting. With Nvidia having Ageia and Intel owning Havoc's physics engine, what will happen to poor ATI/AMD?

This means that someone with a future Intel CPU and Nvidia GPU could have 2 hardware physics engines built in but an AMD CPU with ATI GPU would have none. It looks like the marriage of AMD/ATI could be falling behind seperate Intel/Nvidia solutions no matter what way you look at it.
