following 3D HMDs from vrealities have caught my fancy...being affordable and 3D
1) Virtual Viewer 3D [http://www.vrealities.com/virtualviewer3d.html]
2) Virtual Visor [http://www.vrealities.com/virtualvisor.html]
3) VR Pro 3D Dual [http://www.vrealities.com/vrpro3ddual.html]
4) VR Pro 3D Video [http://www.vrealities.com/vrhmdpro3dvideo.html]
regd
1) nothing on internet anywhere - but the specs look too good to believe just do not have ipd/focus adjustment with good fov [at least for me!]
2)have read about it - no bad reviews anywhere - only brightness/contrast/volume adjustable , no ipd/focus adjustments, no VGA input
3)i like this one for the dual input [2 VGA or 2 RCA composite] - specs do not state whether mono input is supported i.e 1 VGA or 1 RCA composite - high contrast /true color-24 bit , good fov ,no ipd/focus adjustments
4)it's the high end version of 2) a bit bulky but pricey compared to 2)
those who do not wear glasses they offer the best in terms of price /functions theoretically
they all have great looks [except for 4)]but the performance ....
Anybody who has tried hands-on any of these - please post a detailed review !

I'd buy microdisplay / microprojector HMD , that sounds like decent tech, maybe you should give it some time.

Those headsets seem alright but nothing is really catching my eye. I am still waiting for the perfect headset.

Well, Oled things are not as much "dream displays" as the journalists tend to put it.
Both LCOS , DLP, AND OLED can be suitable for HMD. Best I Quality ? Dunno.

=============
most of the china HMDs say LCD but in fact they actually use LCOS
DLP - dunno
OLEDs - yes they can get as close to CRT viz-z - viz color/brightness/contrast.. etc
whatever but OLEDs are definitely better than LCOS[LCD]...

oled with active matrix is not close to CRT, rather the opposite. You'd want to insert black frames to shorten hold time, and turn the intensity up, but then this would result in short life for those OLED's ?
LCOS thing looks to be one of the best, at least this variant:

Lot of ppl are waiting for 720p version

but you'd agree that OLEDs consume less power and produce great color/brightness/contrast...
