India Game Developer Summit 2010 – First, Independent Event on Game Programming, Business and Careers
Bangalore, February 01, 2010: As the computing functionality and horsepower of GPUs has grown over the last few years, the role of the GPU is rapidly expanding to game tasks beyond rasterization-based graphics. Ashu's second talk at IGDS 2010 on the 27th of February covers Stereoscopic 3D graphics technology, and the common pitfalls and solutions a developer needs to be aware of to ensure that their content will create a compelling 3D experience. He will talk abot achieving out of screen effects, displaying 3D video content and how to design a 3D friendly user interface.
Ashu is Director of Content and Technology at NVIDIA managing the Content Management, Evangelism, Developer Technology, PhysX and APEX groups. Previously he was a devtech engineer working with developers around the world on different applications. In various companies related to computer graphics and modeling, networking and internet technologies. He is an expert on games, graphics, geometric modeling, AI, error-correction codes and networking among other areas.
