Completely disable driver?
I need to completely disable the Ignition driver. I am currently also running the Nvidia Stereo 3D driver (190.62) and the IZ3D driver (1.09). Obviously there are conflicts if multiple drivers are running concurrently. I'd like to be able to easily disable the Ignition driver (as is possible with both Nvidia and IZ3D) so I may choose the driver that is best suited for the game I wish to play. Is this feature available? Also, if this is not possible is there are workaround (i.e. manually stopping services, etc.)?

This is interesting. I didn't think the DDD driver was active in the background because you need to click on the game in a special DDD sub-menu to get it to work.

Re: Completely disable driver?
No, it runs in the background for sure (it will come up with any game I tried even though I closed the software). What is interesting is that it doesn't load the correct profile (you'd expect this would be based on the exe name) but instead loads the last profile you loaded previously. This is rather annoying especially since one of the games I am trying to play "AaaAAA!" doesn't work from the launcher. So I have to load UT2004 first, and then load AaaaAA! and that works, but its ghetto. The only solution I found for disabling it was to restart my computer, which is also annoying, but its at least a solution.

Something is wrong. That doesn't sound right at all because I am only able to get S-3D mode when games are launched from within the DDD Tridef Ignition 3D launcher.
How are you launching games?
In your task manager, do you see DDD tasks?

Re: Completely disable driver?
I am launching the games just as I normally would: Going through Steam, on the Vista Games Explorer, clicking on the exe file directly. It doesn't matter. In any case it will load up with the DDD TriDef driver. If I look in the processes (control-alt-delete) I can see something called "TriDefIgnition.exe". When I close the program this disappears, yet if I open a game it still loads with the Ignition driver. I also tried checking the services and I found something called "S3D Service (Win32)" and I thought it might have been connected so I stopped the service but it didn't help. At the moment restarting Windows is the only thing that works.Neil wrote:Something is wrong. Re: Completely disable driver?
There is another possibility. What if DDD stays engaged for Steam games?
Can you run non-steam games to see how it behaves?
Regards,
Neil
P.S. I have iZ3D and DDD drivers loaded concurrently. All I have to do is disable the iZ3D driver, and I can still run DDD games. No reboot is needed.

Re: Completely disable driver?
Weird, I am unable to reproduce this bug today. On one hand that is good, on the other hand its also bad because now I can't play "AaaAAaa!!!" with the DDD driver anymore since it doesn't work from the DDD launcher (I think its a Steam issue because just clicking on the exe directly gives the same error). So now I kind of want this bug to come back... Arrrggg!!!!
