Does anyone know of an HD webcam that is available to purchase? I've looked everywhere and it doesn't seem like there is a single webcam that supports 16:9 at 720P or 1080P. Ideally I'd like a cam that records at 1280x720 (720P) at 30FPS. Its weird that there is nothing like that on the market, especially with the popularity of YouTube. I did find one camera that fits my needs, but its not for sale anywhere. Its the Genius eFace 2025. I found one short clip of it, and it looks great:

Only problem is that its like the camera doesn't exist. No reviews, not a single retailer, nothing.

Anybody know of any webcams out or coming out soon that support HD?

Looks like Logitech sell webcams that capture at 1280x1024?

Yeah, but thats still 4:3. I am looking for 16:9. I guess it could be cropped in post, but I'd rather have a native 720P webcam.

My Logitech Sphere offers 16:10 capture (1280x960@15fps) as well as the 4:3 resolutions. So I would assume these newer cameras would offer different capture aspect ratios as well.

Check out this thread that you posted to earlier, would an 8megapixel webcam help your needs? I think you need to start looking at asian exporters if you want the latest stuff. Perhaps where you live isn't the country/nation with the latest cutting edge stuff anymore? Jim Rogers moved to asia for a reason. Your xenophobic reactions will only cost you going forward Cyber.

Thanks Martin. The Logitech C600 is exactly what I am looking for. I did try google, not sure why I didn't catch that. The premise of my thread is still valid though. That camera doesn't come out until next month, so as of today there is still no 16:9, 720P webcam on the market.
