Minoru 3D webcam hands-on

Post by cybereality »

Everyone knows the best thing to film at home in 3D is porn. There's no point arguing -- it's a simple, unavoidable fact. But now it's more affordable than ever thanks to a £50 3D webcam called Minoru.

A pretty decent review I guess. One thing though, it looks like the Minoru has some sync issues (watch the video). Bummer.

thanks for posting!

too bad they didn't mention that the minoru3d can be used with stuff other than anaglyph glasses- most of the negative comments are about people (rightfully) mentioning they don't like anaglyph glasses

the sync desparity seems to be localized- most people don't have this problem, could be fixed with some tinkering and installing the latest drivers I'm sure

Slashdot just a couple days ago or so also started buzzing about the minoru, I didn't bother posting the link because I knew most members here are well informed about it.

Still one of the comments on that thread had sensible thinking. The poster said the minoru would never be a hit, in porn or otherwise. For 2 people to have a s3d porn session and both transmit and watch in s3d, they would have to wear those dorky polarized glasses, and people don't want to wear dorky 3d glasses when communicating to each other throught he minoru.

so he assumed it would never take off with iz3d or nvidia s3d display technology - maybe autosterescopic would work?

I remember some blonde porn star from the 70's I think who used to wear these really weird red lens colored oversized transparent glasses, it didn't stop me from enjoying myself ;) Anybody remember her?
The futures so bright, I gotta wear shades!

i dont agree at all with that conservative point of view that MINORU is not something that can be recommended. !!!!!!!!!
MINORU is perhaps a gadget but a wonderful one.
It doesnt have only blue red support but side by side also for all of us that we use stereoscopic monitors. Its a great pleasure for me to have it and use it outside home with a laptop ( mac air for me ) and have much fun without spending much money...I found also compLetely rediculous to criticise AMAZON badly. iFEEL QUITE SATISFIED OF THE AMAZON SERVICE AND ESPECIALLY OF MY MINORU.

I THINK THAT EVERY ONE WHO LOVES STREREOSCOPY MUST BUY ONE MINORU !!!
And of course i am not an employee of the company which produces MINORU.

Yes, from the results Yuriythebest has shown us in his videos I think anyone would do well buying a Minoru 3D webcam. :)
