The ViewSonic PJD6220-3D is a portable, lightweight DLP projector and is 3D-ready for PC content, allowing consumers to watch high-quality 3D at home at a fraction of the price. With 2200 lumen output, it creates large format stereoscopic 3D at an unprecedented level of price and performance. Cinemas across the world rely on DLP technology to create an immersive 3D experience in the movie theater, and now ViewSonic is one of the first to create a 3D projector for the home.

The PJD6220-3D supports up to the native 1024 x 768 resolution at a true 120Hz frame rate. A bright, professional-level 3D projector, the product can easily display up to 25 ft (diagonal 3D) high-definition images. Advanced DLP technology with BrilliantColorTM provides stunning, vibrant colors on screen. The PJD6220-3D also offers a 2000:1 contrast ratio and an integrated 10W audio system to complete an immersive, blur-free 3D gaming experience.
The PJD6220-3D has an MSRP of $1,499 and will be available in February 2009.
also, VX2265wm 22" 120Hz LCD monitor is $399 MSRP (same as Samsung) but available this month

Still 1024*768 (ok 120 hz :?)? Is there a technical barrier to going higher?

There no real limitation for DLP to do higher resolution than XGA 120Hz 3D. XGA is the main stream resolution for digital projector - meaning the most affortable price. Higher than XGA DLP imager will have a very significant cost up. DepthQ has a 720p DLP 120Hz 3D projector at much higher price (Technically speaking, 720p and XGA's detail density is about the same [1024x768 vs 1280x720]; only different is 720p has a wide aspect ratio format [4:3 vs 16:9]).

Um... 1024x768 = 786,432 pixels. 1280x720 = 921,600 pixels. Thats 17% more pixels.
