Tom's HW Asks Members: Do You Want True 3D?

Post by zazoo »

Tom's Hardware is asking its users whether they want to game in stereo3d:

http://www.tomshardware.com/news/amd-nv ... ,7304.html

Unfortunately, there are comments left by people who have a minimal/no exposure to stereo3d, yet feel justified in dismissing it. I left a comment on how stereo3d needs to be correctly configured in order for it to be appreciated. You must register to leave a comment.

Reading the comments are just sad. I'm practically in tears here. So much hatred, I just don't get it. People are dumb.

Yeah man, no kidding...

It's hard to make people believe the world isn't flat, but it's been done before.

"It's hard to make people believe the world isn't flat, but it's been done before."
That is an absolutely brilliant quote. If we made it into a signature of some kind, would you use it in the forums you post in? There is a lot of wit in this statement.

We might have to shorten it a little bit.

Maybe "Convincing people the world isn't flat is hard, but it's been done before."

Come up with something similar, or maybe we should just use the original. I really like it.

Neil

I wonder how many of them that really have experience of true-3d. I'vee seen a few posts that maybe indicates some knowledge when most comments just are dumb and/or filled with prejudices. :(

Ps: I like that slogan too! Well found!

Ha ha! Sure thing, animated-gif it up!

How about:

"Convincing people the world isn't flat is tough, but it's been done before."

I don't know where the eyeball would go, maybe in 'world'?

I think we can get more creative than that.

Maybe a picture of Columbus' ship falling off the edge or something. Or the ship on a flat surface suddenly popping into a curve and getting thrown off the signature (like a trampoline).

Those comments reflect what people really want. High quality immersive VR headsets.
"I did not chip in ten grand to seed a first investment round to build value for a Facebook acquisition."
Notch on the FaceDisgrace buyout.

I put my 2 cents into the discussions...it's all the way out on page 3 though.

I love the comments that the people don't want to look like dorks wearing the glasses. Those people need to quit playing computer games while they have people standing around them and go do something social.

Yeah that argument is great.

Says the hot girl in the bar: "Get out of here you loser! I want a man who plays WoW WITHOUT those dorky glasses!"
