Elsa shutters w/new Samsung dlp 3d driver

Hey all,

Has anyone tried any other type of shutters with nvidia's samsung dlp 3d driver? Is it setup where you simply need to use their lcd shutters and you don't use the 3 pin connect on the back of the tv? I just don't see where I'd need to buy their 3d package if my elsa shutters will work fine with their driver and it plugs just fine into the 3D port with successful S3D previously with the old stereo control panel and checkerboard fix.

Any thoughts or experiences?
