i think that he said wrong things:
1) for THOSE kind of things we need direct x 10... that works only on vista, and vista is only a SMALL part of users and a much smaller part of gamers, because of gamespped, FPS and compatibility!
2) a monitor like that, will not fit on most people s desks.. so they can forget it! if they want a screen that big than they need to make a HDI-HMD
3) a thing of that size and that costs will need years for beeing a good product
4) 3D is MUCH cooler than HDI... and costs much less! why should i need a little "light reflex" on the arm of somebody if i can have his finger into my eye?!?!??! it is like saying that you have a Ferrari very good looking, but with only the first gear.. there is NO FUN!
I WANT TO GET INVOLVED IN THE GAME, NOT TO SEE THE EYECOLOR OF A PLAYER ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE LEVEL!

Who needs high res.
I am not going to go over to a friends house and watch him play on uberresolutions.. 3D would do the trick though
