162.18 Beta Forceware Driver (Windows XP)

who tried them?

i am going to try them as soon i go home from work.. in 7 hours.

hopefully it works this time.

ok i tried them right now.. good and bad news...

good one: with this forceware i can finally watch movies with the 3d stereo enamled.. with previous ones i got pink artifacts instead of the clip.

bad one: 3d gaming doesnt still work with "no limits coaster simulator"

IIRC, you are using 8800, and the Stereoscopic Player from http://www.3dtv.at, correct? Are you using shutter glasses/CRT monitor/page-flipping mode?

BTW, it is good that NVIDIA unified the driver again (same driver for 8-series and the older cards).

maybe i expressed myself a bad way. i was able to watch stereoscopic movies with all versions of drivers. (with the stereo movie player)

but i was not able to watch normal movies on windows media player, or vlc or winamp while stereo was enabled. i only got a wrong image. pink artifacts.

All work now with forceware beta and my two gfx cards in non sli mode on a Sli motherboard, i installed 162.18 on my 8800 gts and after xp ask me for install my 7600 gt i said yes and no hang !! cards worked together, so i tryed all stereo driver since 91.31 to 162.15 beta took on mtbs3d.com, the last one worked but only on my 7600 gt as primary and with nhancer to remove one core, game with 2 cores don't hang but been slow with no stereo effect, with removed core all roxx ok even nvtest.exe no more need to switch config at boot thank's Nvidia for unified drivers , i used with my hmd vr920 pageflipped mode , tested a lot of games and all worked !!! Quake4,3, rfactor, hl2:CSS and more....

I will try a test directly on 8800 but i've no hope in that......

Resume :
DS4 N650 SLI+7600GT as primary +8800 secondary display as desktop (or primary to play with no stereo).
162.18 Nforce + 162.15 stereo drivers
3D glasses or hmd
Stereo enabled in panel

Tryed 165.01 forceware beta with this stereo beta drivers, it seem two cores can be used but this drivers is very unbstable in normal use.

Nope, nothing work with even with core2duo two cores on, need nhancer to shutdown one core, all games with 8800 crash and reboot computer for me, but work if i use 7600 as primary monitor, some don't but less than 91.31, some are working with like FSX work on 91.31 and not with beta, so i've two XP's that need a reboot when i want to play with.

With new beta 165.01 forceware + 162.15 stereo and a 7600 gt i managed to work with dual core intel on, with 162.18 forceware two cores didn't work it seem 165.01 have corrected something about dual core but these drivers are a little bit unstable in general use... so wait again.
