NVIDIA Driver probs.

Hi, I´m kinda new here, I´v read on the net that THE place to be for questions regarding Display drivers, was here.
I´m having these problems installing,well, not installing... but using the new NVIDIA drivers for my GeForce 8600 GT.
It totally screws up the system.
With the newest one, Windows just wont startup, with older ones my display just turns off, it will work on the TV.
Please can someone direct me to somewhere, where there are good drivers.
It seems only the one on the CD that came with the card works, but that doesn´t do it with GTA IV.
