Half-life 2 no longer working in 3D for me after Steam deck update

Looks like an update botched Half life 2 and its episodes, and now 3D wont kick in. I made sure the API was set to dicrectx9, since it defaulted to Vulkan. but even then it still didn't work. Has anyone tried or know of a work around? I can only play Half life2 Update in 3D and Other single player mods. But not Hl2.exe Original Valve games. If Im doing something wrong that I can fix please let me know.

Thanks for replying Dman, I did try to install Previous, the previous public build. but it made no difference. It used to always work. But now that the Steam Deck update rolled up it is no longer working for me. I made sure I used -dx9 line argument on Steam, and made sure it was DX9 running. Also, made sure it was fullscreen, and AA was off, which used to break 3D, and nothing. The funny thing is that I can Play any Half life 2 Source mod in 3D even Half Life 2 Update with no issues. But if I try to launch any of the original Valve games 3D does not work for me.

The issue is game related only, I can play everything else in 3D vision just fine:

1 GPU Model 2080 TI
2 Display Model Asus 3D vision monitor
3 Driver Version 452.06
4 OS + version number windows 10 22H2
5 Have you ever had your system and/or this game working in 3D before? Yes
6 What have you tried so far? Please see above.

Question Were you able to get regular Half Life 2 to work with 3D vision yourself?

Thanks bro, I got it working, looks like a while back the game was crashing a lot after I was working on some mods myself, and I had enabled windows 7 compatibility mod and had forgotten all about it. You gave me some good ideas. After disabling this it worked again, the crazy thing is that Uninstalled the game and reinstalled and still kept the windows compatibility checked.
