I cannot use the program. It says: The application has failed to start because d3dx9_39.dll was not found....

Can't I create 3d photos without the S3d device?

hi!

you dont need a iz3d monitor.. it is enough if you install iz3d drivers and use them in anaglyph mode. (red blue glasses). do you ahve the latest version of DX9 installed?

I have the iz3d driver enabled in anaglyph and directx 9.0c... is that enough for this system?

I think there are 3 things that are necessary for this to work.

An updated directx, the c++ redistributable package, and the .net framework. I think all of these will already be present if you are using an up-to-date version of Vista. If not, you might have to install one or more.

If you are getting a side by side error, then you probably need the redistributable,

If you are missing a .dll, then you need to update your directx,

Genius! It was the directx version. Thank you very much! I'll see what I can do with this amazing piece of software.

I'll have to check the standard resolution for the rendering, cause the program is eating up my resources. (Maybe that could be a feature for a future release: ability to change the resolution)

Keep the excellent work, thanks for the help! :P

Hi Yomer,

What do you mean by eating up your resources? It shouldn't be using much at all.

Well, the software is running in Direct3D, isn't it? My resolution is 1400x1050. I have a mobility FireGL V5200. But I don't thing that's the problem. It only happens when I'm running Photoforms and I minimize it or click on another window which is set to fullscreen to come to the front, then the slowdown occurs. The funny thing is that if I resize the window and pull it out of fullscreen, even a few pixels, the computer comes back to normal. It's somewhat annoying if I want to have my browser or another windows maximized.

To summarize the problem.. it occurs if either I minimize Photoforms, or maximize another window on top of it.

hello its just the right time coming this new 2d3dconversion. congratulations. but..
you must inform the users precisely which programs must be installed and what we have to set if we have no iz3d-monitor. e.g. in the dl-section no driver is mentioned for the last version.
i first tried it in win2k. then in my new xp.xp was not mentioned but windows nt 5 blablabla. then it asked for direct x, which could be downloaded/installed directly. then i had to decide if i wanted full driver installed. then it said no iz3d-monitor installed, then i had to decide this or that. at the end i could not open the program.
thank you very much

we only want to convert 2d3d and get dual-images for freeviewing. i am looking forward to present the images on my new website.
meanwile enjoy my 3dstereo-aeropanorama of swiss alps(180 degr.) like never before. plus 3dstereo-marspanoramas(much better ones to come).
<edited by sharky> please no personal advertising without a permission from neil. thnx </edit>
websites linked-all the same
but different viewing-solutions.

hi!

what you need is:

iz3d drivers (if you dont have an iz3d install them anyway in anaglyph mode)
c++ destributable (is asked within the iz3d installation)
latest version of DX9
photoforms.

once installed everything open up iz3d drivers, choose anaglyph as output mode (or whatever stereosolution you use), enable the drivers, hit apply, open photoforms.

have fun

igor

Yes, there is no side by side in one frame in this version.

Actually, I have a recommendation - for iZ3D!

Photoforms does screencaps through the S-3D driver, in this case iZ3D. Unfortunately, the screencaps lose some quality because they are recorded in JPG format. It would be helpful if there was an option to determine the quality that captures are recorded with through the driver.

Regards,
Neil

it didnt ask for the redistributable package. anyway i will load it now.
how can we produce those dualimages like the 3d-lion. or, shouldnt it be shown as anaglyph? if yes, then the lion-image is confusing.
info: panasonic is announcing a 105cm autostereo-screen, nec a 31cm-small one.

A little question:

When I prt scr and then paste in the photoshop, still have the anaglyph version.
What I'm doing wrong or if is there any file saved, where it is?

Main driver: Nvidia 163.75
Monitor: CRT
Iz3d driver: 1.09

Hi Sir C,

When you print screen, the side-by-side format .jps file will be saved to your Documents/Pictures/iz3d folder.
