Will 3d Vision Still work with 3080

Hey everyone

So currently i have 1080ti that i use with 3dfix manager and driver that works with 3d vision. I keep this on a separate parition to boot into for just 3d games, and then my main windows OS that i keep updated with 1909 etc to use with my main games.

If i upgrade to a 3080, shouldnt be much issues correct with continuing to use 3d vision, as long as i keep the same working driver that installs with 3dfix manager? Then ill just use my other parition as ivbe been doing to update to the latest driver for my newer games

Seriously no one knows yet if the 3d vision driver will work on 3xxx cards. It works for 2xxx cards because 3d vision was still supported by nvidia then. Perhaps ampere removes a key hardware frame buffer feature that is needed by 3d vision to work. I am hoping that 3xxx can still work with 3d vision so that we can continue carrying this amazing legacy technology. But I bought a 2080 ti a year ago just in case it doesnt.

i cross my fingers, i really hope 3090 would be compatible with 3D Vision... I need it to play GTA 5 in 3D !

GTA 5 is amazing in 3D!
Just looking around in the city or the wilderness, i love the freedom in this game.

Got it the day it came out for the xbox. But with depth is so much more vibrant.
Almost everyday i still look around in this wonderful world.

I sold my 2080ti in Aug to upgrade to 3080. Cant find a 2080ti trying for so long.

I thought I saw a bunch on ebay? Unless you don't want to use ebay...

My recommendation is to watch videos on YouTube, type in something like "GTAV 2080 Super 1440" and most likely you'll find a video of someone showing a benchmark with max settings (or lower ones, too). And then you can see how your card will perform generally.
