Hi*,
I just came across this post about some frame drops in SteamVR, caused most likely by issues in nVidia drivers newer than 451.48:

The frame drops are quite visible according to user's feedback, and nVidia is currently doing some investigation.
Since the recommended driver for 3DVision is newer than 452.06, I wonder if Helix Vision suffers from these frame drops.
SteamVR might have performance issues with NVIDIA drivers after 451.48

It looks like the cyclops in Nvidia really hate any form of stereoscopic vision, no matter the device.

Well, I hope they're pressed for time and just say "we don't have time to troubleshoot this - lets just restore the entire 3DV code in the latest drivers, that'll fix it"
