I understand there are newer Nvidia stereo drivers that support 8 and 9 series cards. Are they vista x86 (32 bit) only? Do they work with many games? DLP?
Thanks,
Ryan

You need a Zalman monitor or anaglyph glasses.
DLP and other things are not supported.

I think they are going to support 3D DLP TVs... I don't know if they are supported yet...
They said it will be Vista 32 bit only at first...

I assumed you were talking about the old new drivers. The new new drivers (that don't exist yet) will support shutter glasses but we can only guess exactly what they will support.

well it runs on a vista 64bit system here
Can just speak for this Zalman... but Iz3d driver works better for most games

Thanks for the info...
I'd like to set-up a stereo-3D pc... I guess I'll wait for the iz3d monitor price-cut by the end of November and see Nvidia's solution by the end of the year... I'd like to get the iz3D monitor, but it could be easier to buy the Viewsonic 3D monitor here in Italy... because of shipping costs, douane, energy voltage different standards, warranty issues for the iz3D one.
What do you suggest me? Zalman monitor?

If you can get it home for about 200€ (300$) and you need a display, then yes!
(VR920 is nearly 300 € with tax and shipping. )
I'm not shure, how much Iz3D is, but there was a used one for 300$. But it would cost 300-400€ in the end, too.
I think I'd get the cheapest monitor, since they all have pros and cons and Zalman and Iz3D both run with Iz3D driver.
Vr920 is not good for normal desktop use and you can't change fov - unlike with a monitor.
But if you are not in a hurry waiting and watching for good prices is my advice.

I think that's what I'll do...I'm a student and my mom's pc looks like it's going to break sometime soon
So my parents might get a new pc and I have 500€ to spend on the monitor. I'm not in a hurry, but I need things to match up though (my pc dies, viewsonic monitor comes out some time soon at a reasonable price with glasses included and with a good stereo-3D effect).
I hope this is all going to happen not later than Xmas, otherwise I might spend my money some other way (a bigger present for my girlfriend?.... Naaaa ).
I'd like to make the decision whithin December
Thanks for suggesting me

Right I forgot the PC... it's the same for me. If I have a new screen I will need a (much) faster PC. Both upgrades together need some Money...
Keep the eyes open and find a display for half price. When you get Iz3D driver (works well for Zalman and Iz3d) then you can get whichever PC you like, and are cheaper than only the Screen, too
