while not a stereo3d product, I still think it's related due to it's attempts to increase game immersion. I really like it's idea/technology, but I won't be buying one any time soon since it list of supported games is small (when compared to the list of games that can be used with stereo3d). Also I disagree with their policy of having to buy the haptic-enabled mods for some of the games- that's just disgusting, especially since you can't pirate them from anywhere since they are not widely used. However I still have great interest where this product is headed- maybe in 5-10 years it will be more widely supported and be more evolved. Wow that sounded exactly like the stuff uninformed people about S3d say. The ability to feel the slickness, roughness of objects, feel the different recoils, be pushed by shots sounds very impressive since it adds a completely different kind of immersion than stereo3d. In any case- sold on the hardware, lost on the drivers.
what I do hope they'll do is merge with the company that makes the force feedback vest+helmet:

and then add better support for games- would be a killer product.
till then I'll just have to contend with my 5.1 sound and iz3d monitor *sobs*

I mean it's just frustrating seeing the world follow the corporate bandwagon that the top players set out. this really hampers innovation.Likay wrote:Where's the world heading? o.Oyuriythebest1 wrote:http://blog.wired.com/gadgets/2008/09/r ... int-f.html

?? I never perceived it as such until you said it wasn't one. Right this thread is becoming very confusing so to clarify we are in total agreement and novint needs to improve and nvidia is evil. Cheers!Likay wrote:I know. And it was absolutely not meant as an insult.
