Look's like Skanect. But portable.
What's the ipad do? Portable harddrive? Looks like there is some software for it- i.e. games and stuff.
The KS talks about using it with Android and "anything with a USB". But are they developing the model scanning software for it?

I wonder what the Rez is like on this ?
So for example if I wanted to scan a ring or a small toy..
I like the idea of scanning hands /fingers in the Rift...
but I must admit the rez of the scanner looks really bad...

If any kickstarted "kept going at that rate" they would be the biggest thing ever.
It's called the kickstart saddle graph. Big money on the first couple-three days, big money on the last two days- much less inbetween. That's how most of them go.

Wow... does it get any more vapor ware than that? I didn't see one real example of how it works or what it can do in the KS video.
There are tonnes of 3d capture devices, but at least they show you a sample of how you capture and the signal to noise ratio you can achieve.

That might have come off more snippy than I had intended. Many apologies if that was the case.fireslayer26 wrote:xhonzi wrote:If any kickstarted "kept going at that rate" they would be the biggest thing ever.

"Point it at the world and you'll capture the world" (as long as said world isn't more than 3.5m away?)
I think that's right?
