It´s a realy nice combo. Second Life, your rift (useable with the new ctrlaltdel viewer) and a graphicaly coherent realistly scaled city Berlin in the 1920s.
Art Deco, Bauhaus Style take a look for yourself, or read the blog http://1920sberlinproject.wordpress.com ... ts-berlin/ and view the videos http://www.youtube.com/user/yassokhuul/videos on youtube.
But beware the Strassenbahn, this is not for everybodys stomach!

Re: 1920 Berlin in Second Life in the Rift
I didn't visit 1920 Berlin, but I can say that Secondlife + Rift is truly mind blowing.
Fact: Secondlife is Cline's Oasis until something beats it. (Up to the challenge, Carmack?)

Gear VR: Maybe OVR isn't so evil after all!

Re: 1920 Berlin in Second Life in the Rift
You should try it sometime, it´s a realy well done world.
I think to reach the oasis level second life needed to be more interactive (faster servers/less lag) and it needed to be more intuitve with their
user interface and content creation process.
I think Carmack concentrating on phones is a good idea, palmer always mentions using the future rift (after consumer version) without the computer, with build in rendering and
connection. Seems they want to build oasis for themselfs
