Working on Vizio's compatibility

Post by Shilar »

Recently I've been working on what the Vizio 3D can do. Have found the MP4 (h.264/aac) format works best, and Aiseesoft 3D converter to be a godsend. Am currently using "Alien Adventure" (ripped from field-sequential DVD) as the test video. So far, the results...

Over/Under half height
----------------------

1920x1080 = works
1440x1080 = works
1280x720 = doesn't work
960x540 = doesn't work
640x480 = doesn't work
720x480 = doesn't work

Side-By-Side half width
-----------------------

640x480 = works
720x480 = works

When I say "doesn't work," I mean the Vizio cannot figure out where one side stops and the other starts, so it shows everything on one channel, and weird graphics on the other. Currently will try full-width SBS and see if something happens.
