If I have Vista I pretty much just can't use Stereo3D right?

Post by Takato »

I have Windows Vista Home Premium and a GeForce 7100. They came together on my new computer I got in January/February 2007. I read about these Stereo3D drivers, and found version 91.xx, but I found that Vista drivers only go down to 97.xx. I tried it anyway, and it did not work. I have tried the 158.xx one too, but no sucess. What can I do?

AFAIK, you can either set your computer up to dual boot Vista/XP, or wait. There are no Vista stereo drivers yet. They probably won't be far behind working XP drivers for the 8800.

I know that dual booting would work, but I would rather wait. So you think that Vista Stereo3D drivers (for series 7) would not be far behind XP Stereo3D drivers for 8800? That would be good if it were the case. Do you know when the XP Stereo3D drivers are expected to be functional?

XP stereo drivers are functional for the 7 series. For other stereo drivers, they are rumored to be ready this spring/summer, but no one really knows. I suspect even the nVidia driver team does not know at this point.
