USC ICT MxR Lab's New DIY Open Source VR Website

Post by phoberman »

Greetings! We'd like to invite MTBS members to visit the MxR Lab's just-launched website highlighting all our DIY Open Source VR designs, software, tools and techniques, and featuring downloadable files and instructions to build your own custom VR mobile viewers, headsets, mods to the Oculus Rift, and lots more, including a VR dictionary. We've timed the launch to coincide with the IEEE Virtual Reality conference, currently taking place in Orlando, where we're showcasing all of our research. Yesterday we presented at the OTSVR (Off the Shelf Virtual Reality) Workshop, and next we're hosting a Research Demo starting on Monday where conference attendees can try out all of our viewers while we print out more on our two Lulzbot 3D printers. Welcome, and please let us know what you think on our new forums.
