All PS3's can play 3D games says Sony, but to start playing them you will need to dash out and buy the expensive telly and at selected stores the battery powered shutter glasses and the transmitter. I think we re smart enough to use the sony shutters on pc whether sony likes it or not , and also might have a go on ps2 back catalog with emulator , wonder if it d work?

What are you talking about? The shutters come work with the TV, not the console.

Exactly. Hopefully Xbox 360 will be updated to support non HDMI stereo 3D solutions and a 32" Zalman monitor.

Also, in the US, a 60" 3D DLP TV from Mutsubishi's + a"3DC-1000 adaptor which converts HDMI 3D to checkerboard (or a "Starter Pack" which includes 3DC-1000, 2 pairs of shutter glasses and an emitter) is a considerably cheaper alternative to $2000+ flat panel TVs which still allows you to play stereo 3D games from the PS3 and watch Blu-ray 3D titles. BTW, Mitsubishi 3D DLP models on sale can be had for around $1000.
