Hi Guys!

I'm trying to sample DX10 on my machine, but my games don't detect that I have a DX10 capable GPU. Any ideas?

Neil

What's your video card?
What DirectX 10 games did you try?

I have a 8600 GT and Vista 64 bit. When I play games like Bioshock and Crysis, they automatically load DirectX 10. I have to add "-dx9" to the command line to run them in DirectX 9 mode.
You could go here and download the latest version of DirectX if it's not already done.

I'm pretty sure DX10 should be the default if you are running Vista and a compatible game, of course. On Crysis, for example, just double-clicking the icon is by default DX10. You can right-click the icon is the games explorer and select "Run in DirectX9". Thats the only DX10 game I have, not sure it that works on all DX10 games. Obviously any old games made for DX9 will still run in DX9.
