It depends what you are trying to do but, in general, there is little to no 3D support on Mac.
In you are a developer, you may have more luck with 3D support. For example, with quad buffer OpenGL or with custom Oculus Rift apps.
However, if you are trying to play games in 3D then you really need to be using Windows (for better or worse).
