Hey,

Ever since eDimensional locked their forums and almost tripled the pricetag on the Z800's, I've been looking for another other stereoscopic option. The new HMD by Headplay looks pretty promising, but I was wondering if anyone has seen any reviews or has used it.

Headplay sounds pretty cool, I haven't tried it though.

The downsides are that it works sort of like shutter glasses to do stereo, even though it is a HMD, and it has no headtracker.

If I had one, I would have to strap a Sony SIXAXIS to my head to do the head tracking with.

Now would this be a negitive for it working like shutter glasses to render the stereo? It states that it is 120 fresh rate, so with that we wouldn't see any flickering correct? Nobody on here have one?

My guess is that they have a single 800x600 lcd with optics focusing both eyes on it and lcd shutters over the optics to block each eye so i suppose it has a very special lcd display that can refresh fast enough not to ghost.
