You can only set timing by adding a custom resolution, and guess what doesn't work, again, for quite a while now. Why do they always break custom resolutions? The stupid thing now is, that when you press test, it does work and switches to the resolution you choose, but then the driver just said it failed and when you click ok, it goes back to the previous resolution :S
Look at this post. Looks like VadersApp figured out a way to get a custom resolution to stick with the NVIDIA drivers. It would be worth reporting this bug to NVIDIA so they can get it working properly in future driver versions.

I'm using win7, and I don't intend to reinstall drivers yet again, just to try if this method works, and then to see if it changes anything. Especially as I want to fiddle with the modes to see if anything helps, I don't know what exactly to set beforehand, it's nothing like the problem with the samsung DLP's.

I purchased the Nvidia Geoforce 3D vision glasses and IR emitter, and I facing a problem:
3D sync input is not 3pin mini-DIN format: it's 2.5mm jack!
Does anyone here know how it's supposed to be mounted (tip, ring, sleeve) in order to make my own cable. (this cable was not included in the box....)

Chris-> as you tested successfully your Delay Dongle with 3D Vision, can you please give me an answer on how to make this cable?

thanks for your reply.

There is a 3pin mini-DIN to 2.5mm jack included with the 3d vision package. It's meant for use with DLP TV's which generate their own sync signal, but it works with the dongle just as well :)

Xerion,
unfortunately this cable wasn't included in the 3D vision package I purchased...
I've no idea where to get one, so that's why I project to simply build my own.

Xerion, I reckon you've got to try all the different refresh timing options to see which one works, especially the 'reduced blanking mode'.

Ok so I purchased one of these dongles, and the blue ghosting was too much for me - so I now have the NVidia 3d vision with 120Hz LCD. I've given up on the projector (still have the Sharp XR-10X if anyone interested, will be ebaying eventually).

Regarding the dongle, it's too damn expensive to bin, so I'm offering to give it away (for cost of postage from Australia, through paypal) to anyone who has a need for it. I would ask that anyone who takes up this offer ensures they write a follow up review on this thread, so we can see how it went.

If it works for you, and you're really feeling generous, feel free to make a small donation to my fav charity, prajwala india :D (http://www.prajwalaindia.com/howucan.html).

Cheers
