Hi, all
My first post - found this site via the "Helix Mod" site.
I am about to upgrade my 2011 PC -
New parts -
A) Motherboard - ASUS ROG Strix Z390-F
B) CPU - Intel i5 9600-K
C) RAM - 16 GB of Trident Z RGB @ 3200 MHz
I currently have a 3D Vision Asus VG236H monitor - and when I got this in 2011, I vaguely remember something about needing to use DVI instead of HDMI (perhaps for 120 FPS instead of 60 FPS reasons...?)
I want to upgrade my Nvidia ASUS Strix Factory-OCed GTX 970
- the model I am thinking of is maybe an ASUS ROG Strix RTX 2060 (one of the variants with RGB lighting) - such as -
www.amazon.co.uk/ASUS-Axial-tech-Auto-E ... B0892TD5XD
1) Will I be able to game in 3D if I upgrade to a RTX 2060?
2) I don't want to change my monitor, as I like my 120 Hertz 1080p 3D monitor -
www.amazon.co.uk/VG236H-23-inch-Monitor ... B003W0JXBC
- will the Monitor be able to display 3D Vision via a RTX 2060? Or somehow bottle-neck it?
3) A LOT of new Asus Strix graphics cards no longer have DVI ports - so am I stuffed? Or can I use a HDMI to DVI adapter?
(Note - my monitor only has DVI and HDMI - NOT any "Display Port"...)
4) Will any of my new hardware listed above (Motherboard + CPU + RAM) cause any problems for all the above?
Many thanks!
