Very curious about how this camera works out. It got some fairly mixed reviews here: http://thirdmagazine.com/2009/11/28/fuj ... d-reviews/

Of course it got mixed reviews when the reviewers can't tell 3D from a ham sandwich. From all I heard its top notch.

I bought one directly from NVIDIA. They are promoting this camera on their site ( http://www.nvidia.com/object/product_finepix_real_3d_us.html). The latest NVIDIA 3D Vision Photo Viewer will directly display the .mpo files this camera produces, and the NVIDIA 3D Vision Video Player will play its 3D .avi movies. You can easily convert the .mpo files to standard parallel .jps format using Stereo Photo Maker available from http://stereo.jpn.org/eng/. The camera arrived yesterday. I took a number of great 3D pictures with it as well as some video. I tested with all the aforementioned software. This is a fantastic camera. Highly recommended for those of you into stereoscopic photography. In the past I used a special slider device attached to a tripod to take left and right pictures. Worked well but had to combine the images manually with 3D software. Other issues inluded liive subjects moving between shots. With this camera it's simply shoot, copy to PC, and view in 3D glory. Couldn't be easier. You can actually see your 3D pictures in stereoscopic 3D on the camera's LCD monitor without using 3D glasses. Amazing! At $600 it's not cheap. But for me it was worth every penny.

One more thing worth mentioning. By default a JPEG image will be stored at the same time as a 3D (.mpo) image (MPO+JPEG option). This means you can shoot every picture in 3D but always have a 2D version of it for printing or standard PC photo libraries. Of course you can always just take standard 2D pictures, but this feature makes that unnecessary. If the 3D image doesn't turn out great you still have a 2D one to keep if you like. The camera has other 3D shooting options and lets you adjust image parallax on screen as well. Very well thought out design.

Very cool. Its going on August 2010 and it doesn't seem the price has dropped a lot. Is the camera still worth the money with the addition of new cameras (I'm assuming there is new camera's) into the market.
Actually.... it seems that this is really the only one on the market. I'm talking about within the sub $2000 price range and your actually able to find the camera for sale.

I doubt that I'd be able to find one through a domestic retailer anytime soon. But it looks cool and depending on the barriers to import and using it (if it doesn't support English) then it could be a possibility.
