Very good news but not completely !
I always prefer the polarised glasses ( ZALMAN type ) and not the shutter ones like NVIDIAs.
i believe shutter glesses is NOT THE FUTURE !!!

24" at 1920x1080 is OK, but why not 1920x1200 BTW?
Still, so far this ASUS looks a bit more attractive for stereo 3D gaming than similar 120 Hz 22" monitors from Samsung and ViewSonic (which are "only" 1680x1050), and considerably better than Zalman passive polarization line-interleaved monitors (both the current 22" at 1680x1050 and prototype 24" 1920x1200).
However, I'm in the AMD camp right now and will not return to nVidia for a while. So unless AMD or some 3rd party releases a stereo driver that supports Nvidia 3D Vision glasses on the Radeon HD 4800 (please don't tell me about TriDef), or Microsoft will update Direct3D runtime with automatic support for stereoscopic rendering using shutter glasses, I'm not in a market for this display... which is very unfortunate.

Does Zalman continue to work on these 24" Trimon monitors ? Haven't they just dropped it ?

Re: Asus VG242H -- 1080p S3D LCD monitor
i am looking for and researching this monitor for some months already, but there's virtually NO information online except that it was shown at computex.
the 16:9 might indeed be nonsense and a turn-off...i actually think that 16:10 is a good compromise. Still looking forward to read more about this monitor...but i have a gut feeling that in 2010 MANY more will come and Asus wont be the only S3D 120 monitor with 24".
