It's not worth it. Even if you find the right panel, none of the Rift games will work without major hacking.
Just get DK2.
Just get DK2.

Rozsnyo have just put out batch 3 of the RiftUp kit. Still nearly 200 available.
It might take a while before they get over their minimum order before they go
into production. RiftUp might be still viable with sdk version 0.3.x stuff.

http://riftup.vrunion.com says 158 are remaining but it could still take some time till the batch is started. I think the price is what's holding it back. Unless you are really short on cash and/or live in a country that will add substantial customs fees and taxes, DK2 would be the better buy.
Maybe if they added a group buy option to say get an extra 100 number of units sold by whatever date then the price could be reduced to $300 or something. That might help a few on the fence about purchasing.
I had no problem with my early bird indiegogo at $200 including free shipping but I wouldn't buy at $340. Don't get me wrong the drop-in solution is killer but for $340 I would expect something like the LG 6" 2560x1440 LCD when they are available.
