Hi girls and boys!
The first prototype of my DIY rift is almost done. Now I'm working on some improvements...
Anyway, after testing my rift using demos and free apps I got in the net, I'd like to use it with two of my favourite flight sims:
DCS - Flaming Cliffs 3
and
War Thunder
They give both Oculus Rift support but I can't get them working because they don't detect any Oculus connected. I faced the same problem with a couple of demos.
Is there a way to cheat the operating system and/or the apps, pretending the real Oculus Rift is connected?
Thanks in advance
Gico

The IMU module inside the rift is actually pin for pin compatible with USB:
Looking at the board with the connector facing down (going from the left):
Data +
Data -
Ground
5v
Just take apart a USB cable and use a multimeter on each wire to text connectivity on the four pins of a USB connector.
If you connect this module, the computer will think a rift is connected. You can get cheapish rift IMUs by buying broken rifts (I wonder what Oculus does with them...)
