Today, Japanese famous ERO-GE company ILLUSION released demo program for Oculus Rift!

Demo character was entried from ERO-GE "MoguMogu Yuna chan" so this demo program was named "Yunalus".

Honesty, I play a lot of Illusion games before and I don't hesitate to say that they have the best visual aspect in all adult games. I really like their extremely cute anime style and in some games they show their photo realistic style which is also the best too. This news is, I think, inevitable but couldn't guess how they act so quickly. Great news! with the Oculus Rift, more interesting experiences are waiting! the future is exciting!

I looked around for a minute... not much happening... I like how the characters head looks at you everywhere you go.
Not sure why the camera is positioned so low in the scene... is this to help portray the storyline ?

This style anime looks great in the Rift. hope to see some more interaction soon.

Actually, it's super tame- You cant even get a proper panties shot(which is like, really odd for anything anime, let alone ero/gal-ge). I was actually far more impressed with how good and natural the anime enviro felt on the rift! Give me full anime inverse MMO action please(not referring to SAO)...
Anyhow the obvious use for the hydra would actually be a bit un-natural compared to say Kinect/leap motion...
I have no doubt that illusion's work will make sinful robots look amateurish in comparison, but would probably be farther off.

Illusion has several decades of experience making adult games and they are the leading firm in the market. I don't see how Sinful Robot or whatever startup can compare to them.

Experience isn't everything. Remember, there are a lot of companies with a lot more experience building HMDs than Oculus, but they didn't create the Rift.

Actually, something that needs to be worked on here is the black outline shader/effect for the character geometry. You can see this in Miku Miku Dance as well as the Borderlands games- The visual effect goes a long way to fooling the eyes into seeing drawn object instead of a truly 3d one, also it allows for better visual distinction of the geometry, IE if you look at her hand up close it does not quite pop right for an animated character because of the lack of color/border distinction around the fingers(it's all the same color).

Well, for me too exaggerated anime/manga characters just don't do it, so I find realism of Wicked Paradise (formerly Sinful Robot) much better. That said, I'd still try out Sexy beach VR or something similar.

Yeah, Many great Innovations come from start up. May be Wicked Paradise can be that next innovation anyway, diversify is always better than mono. Good luck for both companies which are smart enough to apply Oculus Rift in their games.

This is fantastic artwork and some beautiful, natural animation. Honestly, this is by far the best NPC interaction I have experienced with the Rift.

I am really excited about actual interaction with an NPC of that level of detail and animation. I would hate to think that the best NPC conversations would have to be in an X-rated game. Lets get some other folks stepping up their game!

Yea this demo in particular has me excited for more in depth npc interations. I think on the consumer rift that this demo alone would be an amazing experience because of the atmosphere and the detail that was put into the model. On the low resolution screen right now a lot of the details and depth of the character are lost.

i want the full game. i loved that demo i hope in the full game you can choose the girls outfits and stuffs maybe have more then one girl in the room or have them do various animations and such? awesome :-p

An effect that I learned a long time ago when I was messing around with Poser was turning the camera's Z-depth to 0 along with the black object outline camera effect. It gives the "drawn" effect to every camera angle and makes the scene appear to be 2D rather than 3D.

It's a technique that is great to create 2D animated clips / movies with, since you don't need to draw each scene individually.

Yah I spent about 3 hours trying to get unity to play nice with all of the above (MMD+oculus) ... Anyhow I can get a pmd imported but get a compile fail when I try to build with the MMD included=\
I'm not really knowledgeable with unity so I cant really tell what to do. Getting basic rift stuff going is easy as heck though- I know how to use MMD itself but never heard of MMM =]

I'm not much into hentai, but I do enjoy ecchi, harem, and lots of other anime in general. With how simple this is, I wasn't expecting much, but I'm really enjoying it and I can't wait to see where it goes.

I always suspected the anime style would work particularly well with the Rift and I'm happy to say I wasn't wrong, this really works very well.

I'm excited for my games out of Japan, the more the better, for me it's easy since I can read/write/speak Japanese fluently.

offtopic: is shadows disabled in the free or trial version of unity? why most of the demos using it seems to have very poor lightin and shadows quality?

Nothing is disabled in the trial version, but the free version have no realtime shadows. Still possible to bake shadows though.

I think the effect is improved if you go up to the girl from the front or from behind, then lean back in your chair.
