Energy Hook (Kickstarter)
I just ran across another Kickstarter with a Oculus Rift stretch goal. (I guess reporting here about Kickstarter is becoming my thing, lol.)
The game I found today is called Energy Hook and is a Spiderman style extreme sports game.
The Kickstarter has a Oculus Rift stretch goal at 40k, and has already made around 30k.
You can find the Kickstarter here:

Looks like Jet Set Radio Future, which is a good thing!
Edit: Backed at the Alpha level. Cause I'm a huge sucker.
That, and the gameplay looks amazing. People will die playing this on the Rift!
Marulu, are you a NeoGAF member? This should at least be posted in the Rift thread over there. People would dig this one I'm sure.

No, I am not. This actually is the only forum related to gaming I frequently post on.MrGreen wrote:Marulu, are you a NeoGAF member?

The Spider-man 2 game was amazing. Despite being A. a movie tie in game and B. a superhero game, it defied all odds and was really awesome. And what made it awesome? The webswinging. Earlier Spider-man games shot webs into the sky and swing in pathetic arcs from it. This game let you fire out webbing, actually attach it to buildings, and swing from them. It was glorious. You actually felt like Spider-man, swinging through New York. You could fire out two webstreams independently, and alter between them, or you could leap into the air in between, do a dozen flips, before shooting out another web and continuing, you could run along walls and then jump off, catapult yourself forward with 2 lines, swing up and around flagpoles, and much more. I would start up the game just to swing around, who cares about the crime going on below. I have been known to ramble on about how awesome it was to random people.
Seeing a game based around this mechanic, but the guy who originally made it, truly excites me. And it should be completely awesome to swing around in the rift, assuming it doesn't pose nausea problems. However, even if rift support ends up being a dud, this should be a great game anyways, and well worth supporting.

Could be pretty sweet! I wonder if Hydra support could be a possibility...?

It makes perfect sense for "I'm going to make this in any case, how much more awesome can I make it?".Grix wrote:Lol, that's cheating$1 goal

Yeah I saw people up in arms about this on NeoGAF but I really don't see the problem. You get a game for very little money and like you said, you're helping making it better. Not interested? Save your money and shut the f*ck up. Works for me.Mystify wrote:It makes perfect sense for "I'm going to make this in any case, how much more awesome can I make it?".Grix wrote:Lol, that's cheating$1 goal
But then again, there are people up in arms about anything over there.
