Great link Parrallaxis!

Exactly what I wanted to see, the post-Rift reactions of people who are generally informed about games but are not 'into' VR or stereoscopic 3d etc.

Good mix of reactions there. Not all over the top but generally positive which is very encouraging

Of course, to be expected; a comment form a developer, 'for any first person game, it would be essential'.

To speak for him a bit: After trying the rift, he felt that for emergent FPS or FP, porting to the rift is 'essential'. Ground floor stuff. As in the game cannot be played without a computer, or interface - that the Rift is now part of that essential interface. That kind of essential.
