Somehow an advertisement for super thin HDMI cables ended up in my mail box:

I'm not affiliated with this website in any way, nor do I know if these are good quality. Just figured it might be useful for people doing DIY HMDs

Re: Super thin HDMI cables
Like any thin cable carrying high-sped signals, they work over short distances in EM-clean environments (i.e. don't run them next to a big mas of other cables), but I wouldn't want to use them over more than a metre, maybe a metre and a half.

Re: Super thin HDMI cables
Apart from being outrageously overpriced (~$55) I can recommend the following cable. 3m, very thin, extremely flexible, and I haven't encountered any problems so far regarding signal quality:

Don't know whether they ship internationally though.
