This is a 3D conversion. And I very much enjoyed the movie and the 3D. I do however, have a professional quality 3D home theater. Your display will effect how well you will perceive the 3D from a Blu-ray 3D. And for me-this one looks fabulous.
Chief's score card:
Story: 7.5
Acting: 8
Special effects: 9.5
3D: 7.75/8.0
Final Score: 8.75
I hope they make a John Carter II. But it has done so poorly financially, its probably not going to happen.
