Two major announcements for Battlefield 3 fans today.  First, beginning Saturday, May 12 at 12:01AM PST and continuing through Sunday, May 13 at 11:59PM PST, Battlefield 3 gamers will earn double experience points while gaming.  Just what your mother wants on Mother's Day!  The opportunity for her to earn that virtual gun and vehicle tune-up she's been waiting for!  Awwwww!

The second announcement is for stereoscopic 3D gamers.  Even though Battlefield 3 has included native stereoscopic 3D support almost from the beginning, it has been lackluster at best.  Visual bugs, mediocre depth control, and an uneven 3D experience have really held this title back.  Even gamers who have grown to like it, really don't know what they've been missing all this time.  If all goes to plan, we should see a major stereoscopic 3D upgrade for BF3 fans next week (we know because we got an early look!).
